Thee Teen-Aged has teamed up with Union for its first collaborative collection, helmed by Alyasha Owerka-Moore and Chris Gibbs. Titled "Trust the Process," the capsule confronts the notion that Americana is a loaded idea.

"For many of us, it is impossible to dissociate cuffed jeans, tapered khakis, flannels, and slicked hair with this country’s heritage of racism, erasure, and co-opting of black culture," Thee Teen-Aged notes in a statement.

"Trust the Process" was originally the title of a zine that featured poetry by Owerka-Moore’s father, juxtaposed with images of iconic black musicians who had processed (or conked) hair. Thee Teen-Aged and Union's collection in turn reclaims the style choices that were taken from the black American narrative.

Thee Teen-Aged's collaborative capsule with Union launches February 1, 2018. Scan through the gallery above for a look at the assortment.
