Back in March we received our first look at the torch for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Now, the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games unveils the medals for the upcoming event.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic medals are made from recycled mobile phones and small electronic devices, making them 100 percent sustainable. People from Japan donated their electronics between April 2017 and March 2019 to be used in unique fashion for the upcoming games. The medals are designed to look like stones that have been thoroughly polished to now shine brightly, a reference to the athletes’ journey to the Olympics.

The 2020 Summer Olympics takes place in Tokyo from July 24, 2020 to August 9, 2020.

On this week’s episode of The Dropcast, we are joined by photographer Cam Hicks and Angelo Urrutia, your favorite influencer’s favorite influencer’s favorite behind-the-scenes creative director. Enjoy.
