All beginning with something as unassuming and everyday as a disposable camera, Toronto's Chief Bosompra has embarked on a cultural movement that ties in commentary on nightlife, photography and youth culture on a larger scale. After hosting events in Toronto, Montreal and New York, Bosompra decided to focus his efforts on a hard-copy publication that provides a visual record of the people and places that Chief has encountered. Seeding cameras to various individuals, not limited to self-proclaimed Canadian prince Ryan Hemsworth, UK hip-hop upstart Danny Seth, 19-year-old rapper Denzel Curry, photographer Matt Adam and Miami's director of vibes Julz Goddard, the result is an arresting exploration of what goes down after dark. The book also includes written work, including an introduction by Noisey editor Slava Pastuk. Make sure to check out the Undisposable homepage.
The book is being produced in very limited numbers of 50, with availability being offered for $100 through Canadian retailer NRML and in-store at Toronto's Stussy Chapter.
