The Unexpected art festival just wrapped up its first edition in Downtown Fort Smith, Arkansas. From highly colorful pieces by Bicicleta Sem Freio, western-inspired artworks from D*Face and majestic carved portrait of a Native American by Vhils, the festival was critically acclaimed by local residents who fully embraced the event. In addition to the murals, the festival launched “Printology,” the first ever Street Art Print retrospective to happen in the United States. Curated by JUSTKIDS, this retrospective exhibition featured iconic works from artists such as Banksy, Invader and Shepard Fairey.
You can preview the murals above, but if you're in the area you really should take the time to appreciate them in person.
"Printology" runs at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, Windgate Arts and Design building until November 1.
