France’s Ankama Animations and Japan’s Studio 4°C are gearing up to release a new English version of last year’s French animated movie, Mutafukaz. Here, we get a look at the upcoming anime film, retitled MFKZ, starring Vince Staples alongside American actor and musician, Kenn Michael.
Directed by French comic artist Guillaume Renard and Shōjirō Nishimi, who also led the animation, the picture centers around Angelino (Michael) and Vinz (Staples) in a dystopian metropolis that draws inspiration from Los Angeles. During their journey the two discover superpowers and subsequently begin to fight crime.
In addition to Staples and Michael, RZA, Danny Trejo, and Dascha Polanco feature in MFKZ, which is due in North American theaters on October 11 and October 16. Follow here for tickets.
