WeLive, a new off-shoot from the successful co-working real estate startup WeWork, aims to transform the way we think about how we live with flexible renting and completely furnished living spaces.

The idea is to take the community-driven flexibility and the belief that "we are only as good as the people we surround ourselves with" that has been successful in the workplace with WeWork, and take that into how we live outside of work. That means mailrooms and laundry rooms that double as bars and event spaces, and communal kitchens, roof decks and hot tubs.

There are currently 200 units, available to anyone, all of which come equipped with furniture, bedding, kitchenware, HDTVs and wireless speakers. For an extra $150 users have the option of monthly cleaning, high-speed internet and Verizon cable. The real selling point, though, is that people can rent however they wish, with the freedom to take up a month-to-month contract.

WeWork are positioning this new venture as an easy way to move to New York, without all the extra costs of moving and buying furniture, and the hassle of getting utility bills set up.

The residential building will include studios, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom and 4 bedroom living spaces, with prices starting from $1,375/month. Learn more about WeLive here.
