Following a collaboration with hummel, New York menswear designer Willy Chavarria is back working with another Danish label in workwear company, Kansas. The two have joined forces for a collaborative capsule recognized as a part of Chavarria's FW19/20 collection.
Willy splits his time living between New York City and Copenhagen, Denmark, as he looks to the apparel worn by the men who work to build the Danish city as inspiration for the project.
“I was attracted to Kansas because of the their pure authenticity and the way in which they’ve master workwear details in pocketing, technical fabrics and graphic placements,” Chavarria says.
Original Kansas styles are then showcased in the collection, remastered into Willy Chavarria silhouettes and styling. Willy Chavarria x Kansas was originally debuted at Paris Fashion Week in January, as you can look forward to the capsule releasing at high-end retailers across the globe.
Furthermore, Willy's SS19 collab with Danish sportswear brand hummel is continued for FW19/20 with more soccer-inspired kits. The collection is also filled with fine merino wool styles which is a nod from Willy's involvement with the Woolmark Prize, including the neon colored "band-aid skin" that is layered with a range of merino wool outerwear like bombers and trench coats.
