The world's 50 best restaurants of 2016 were just announced at a ceremony in New York last night, and it looks like Netflix called the winner.
Landing at that coveted number one spot - and one notch up from his silver medal ranking on the 2015 list - is Massimo Bottura's Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy, who appeared in season one of Netflix-original series Chef's Table, which is now into its second season. Bottura is the creative mind behind dishes like "five stages of Parmigiano Reggiano," "eel swimming up the Po river" and "tribute to Thelonius Monk."
