Location: London, UK

Designer: Xander Zhou

Season: SS19

Key Pieces: Key pieces of Zhou’s collection were track jackets, rugby tops and office shirts in various sci-fi, toxic-waste-y colorways and some suitably weird robotic crotch accessories.

Editor’s Notes: Xander Zhou’s press notes cited the EU’s recently-enforced General Data Protection Regulation act (there’s a first time for everything), with a slew of ironic quotes that summed up the ways in which the internet is completely overhauling our identities and privacy. Always keen to use the runway for tongue-in-cheek theatrics (shout out to FW18’s hilarious lizard feet), the Chinese designer decided that SS19 was going to be the season for, err, pregnant alien boys.
