Back in 2015, a certain dress meme went viral, dividing online opinion as to whether this image was gold/white or blue/black. Now, a new audio iteration of the meme has hit the internet and everyone’s up in arms.

On Tuesday, social media user Cloe Feldman posted a computerized voice clip alongside the question,“What do you hear!?!” with two options: Yanny or Laurel.

The question, while apparently straightforward, has split opinion. In my humble opinion, the clip clearly sounds like “Yanny.” But here at Highsnobiety, one colleague won’t hear a word of it, stating, “Anyone who hears Yanny, your ears are broken.” So yes, responses are mixed and fights might yet break out.

With both sides arguing the toss, and some even hearing both words simultaneously, here are few reactions to the latest viral sensation.

Those in favor of “Yanny”

Desus says his hearing is “superior”

Mark Hoppus can’t hear it, but his wife and child can

David Dobrik made a sight gag

Rapper Dumbfoundead made the same joke

Bebe Rexha makes it plain

And all those in favor of “Laurel”

This guy had an ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ take

Chrissy Teigen said what she said

Ellen DeGeneres hears it, too

Zedd keeps it short and to the point

And there are more ‘Avengers’ jokes

And some argue you can hear both

Finally, and we’re not quite sure which camp this user falls in, but we’ll put it here anyway.

Listen to the clip above and let us know in the comments which camp you belong to. Yanny or Laurel — you decide.
