Congolese afrobeat artist Young Paris is one of the newest additions to the Roc Nation family and he hasn't wasted any time in leveraging the new visibility. Last year he premiered his album-length mixtape, African Vogue, exclusively through The Fader, and now he's following up with a slew of supporting visuals. The 27-year-old recently debuted the video for "Get Ready," an energetic single featuring legendary Dead Prez member, M1. As the new year draws closer, Paris has kept the momentum going; last month he also dropped the visuals for "No Weakness," an ode to finding inner strength in times of tribulation.
The latest in his longterm unrolling plan is the video for "One Time." The swaying, multi-genre track flirts with afrobeat and hip-hop influences, and includes a feature from popular Nigerian artist and Mavin Records signee, Reekado Banks. Set in beachside locales, the video follows a paint-accessorized Paris and his leading lady as the meander the city hand in hand. Of course the sun-speckled, lighthearted aesthetic certainly fits the song's love-centered theme. And, with Banks driving home the point that nothing can compare to the women he loves, it's got a nice summery feel that will hopeful help get you through winter. After all, what's better than spending a day at the beach with bae?
