Today Chinese-American electronic musician and singer ZHU has unleashed his new EP, Ringos Desert Pt. 1. Accounting for the first part of a larger project due out later this year, Ringos Desert Pt. 1 draws inspiration from the desert, a place where one can find solitude and lose their inhibitions.
The seven-track compilation sees ZHU crossing genres to ultimately take the listener on a sonic journey that is mysterious and beautiful. Standout tracks include “Still Want U,” “Desert Woman,” and “Stormy Love,” while features in turn come from Australian singer/producer JOY. and Jamaican singer Keznamdi.
Alongside the release of the EP, ZHU also announces phase one of his fall tour, kicking off on September 7. You can purchase tickets here beginning Friday, April 27.
