Maison Margiela’s AW21 collection is indicative of the times, largely drawing from the chaotic nature much of the world has been subjected to in recent months and years. At the forefront, the seasonal assortment includes traditional pieces with iconic parts noticeably altered to deliver reborn styles for a transformed wardrobe. This particular design from Margiela’s latest offering is essentially part sweater and part tank top. Crafted from a plush cotton blend, the shirt has the feel of a sweater and the overall look of a tank top. Side slits are implemented to provide a more comfortable fit, as the garment is then branded with the luxury fashion house’s signature four-stitches moniker on the back. As far as “dressy” tank tops go, this is as formal as it gets.
