Earlier this year we first reported about the collaboration of Italian brand Herno and Acronym designer Errolson Hugh. For Fall/Winter 2012 the two present the Herno Laminar Capsule Collection. Sartorial Engineering, a perfect name for this collection, which fuses the history of the Herno brand with the technical know-how of Errolson Hugh.
“A capsule collection comprising 8 styles for men and 8 styles for women that perform well at high altitudes but with a decidedly urban look.
16 elements inspired to meet the needs of daily life, from business to leisure, produced using extremely sophisticated techniques such as thermo-ultrasound seams, combined with laminated GORE-TEX®, synonymous of both waterproof and breathing fabrics. This is the new uncompromising Laminar world created by Herno.
Laminar, the name given to the project, refers to the phenomenon that in physics means the “optimization of the flow” – there are no cross currents and the particles flow in a orderly way. This project is the result of two years hard work, not only on the product itself, but also to develop production techniques adapted to the use of such complex materials.”
The collection is now available from Haven.
