It’s getting colder, it’s getting darker… I always bang on about the seasons as if they totally determine the quality of my life. In reality, I spend 40+ hours in the office and I sit in front of a radiator so things can stay as hot as I like by my desk. Sure, the commute is always a struggle but commutes suck point blank. When I get home though, it’s important to maintain consistent levels of comfort come hot or cold. And when it’s cold you want to stay hot, so if your boiler is leaking like mine is then you’re going to need to turn to other reliable means of warmth. Throws and blankets are practical, warm, and they look nice – the holy land of comfort. And when leaving it at home becomes more and more of a struggle, just sling it round your shoulders and suddenly it’s an oversized shawl.
