Opening Ceremony‘s creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon turned their attention to athletic influence and elements of protection for their Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Centered around earth tones and soft grays with pops of hunter green, cobalt and salmon appearing throughout, the collection’s key print is a fingerprint swirl that’s featured only on a couple of the most enthusiastic looks. One of the standout pieces is a three-in-one, single-garment coat known as the “chest plate” which was made from the combination of a vest, a color-blocked jacket, and a long quilted parka. Additionally, there were harness sweaters and box-shaped tops with zippers that showed off the collection’s elongated silhouette.
