Fashion and art publication VISIONAIRE has teamed up with conceptual artist John Baldessari for its VISIONAIRE 64 ART issue. The issue’s theme is self-portraits or “selfies,” reimagined with Baldessari’s “color interventions.” The artist explains “I’ll probably be most remembered for putting dots over people’s faces, so its funny to do an issue devoted to the selfies of famous people.” The famous faces include Scarlett Johansson, James Franco, Miley Cyrus, Drake, Marina Abramovic, KAWS, Yoko Ono, Gisele Bundchen, Lionel Messi and more.

The innovative issue comes in three different editions, each arriving with 10 self-portraits printed on high quality archival paper. Marrying modern technology with old-world processes and pop culture with high art, the issue is also created in collaboration with Samsung Electronics. The issue releases this month for US $325 and is limited to 500 copies per edition, with each containing 10 artworks.
