Two nations with very distinctive design traditions unite once again for a brutally simple, well-appointed capsule collection to round out 2015. Denmark-based hummel join Japan's Master-Piece and the Tokyo-based design collective ROOTS&CO for a Japanese-made four-piece pack that merges Danish sports design with Japanese street style heritage.

With a distinct focus on activity and performance, the collection works hummel's Pernfors Power Play sneaker, a jacket that converts into a vest, and a sleek waist bag, with distinct design elements and streetwear traditions from the island nation. The capsule is once again inspired by the high performance needs and famously changeable conditions seen in both Denmark and Japan.

The hummel sneaker features water-repellant materials, while reflective details appear across all pieces making them ready for sun-down. The collection finishes with a print inspired by the different wards of Tokyo, created by Japanese illustrator Nowartt.

Specific numbers run at 250 pairs of sneakers, while bags are limited to 50 and jackets to 75, dropping at selected retailers from December 17 including Storm in Copenhagen, 290 SQM in the Netherlands, Antwerp's AvenueBlackRainbow in Paris and Inner in Milan.

Preview the collection in all its precise, high-tech functionalist glory with the incredible shots from hummel's lookbook, above, featuring the Brutalist backdrop of Copenhagen's Herlev Hospital.
