G-Star RAW has upped its footwear collection with three new silhouettes designed for the coming season.
Leading the pack is the denim label’s new Scuba – a futuristic sneaker which nods to Japanese streetwear traditions. Taking diving boots as a foundation, the sneaker then melds neoprene with the label’s signature denim, sitting upon a soft, natural rubber footbed and worked in three simple colorways of bright white, raw denim and combat olive green. A similar silhouette to a high-top, conceptual flourishes come through the flat, waxed laces then hidden through an eyestay covering the eyelets.
New for the SS16 season, the label debuts the new Stanton Low Mono – a low-profile sneaker that adapts the popular Stanton High Mono. Crafted from a leather upper with contrasting suede heel counter, the lining combines cotton and leather, and all sat on a leather footbed and rubber sole unit.
Venturing up the scale, the impressive Tanker is the label’s signature boot, featuring aggressive tread and storm-welted soles, held together through reinforced, military-inspired construction. Available in monochrome tones of just pure white or black, the Tanker features lightly padded ankle supports and a soft tan leather and cotton inner. For when you just need a shoe, G-Star has got you covered with the Morton Mono, a simple, lightweight derby shoe crafted from a pure leather upper with a bouncy EVA sole unit, available in pure white, black and dark navy.
