Wanderlust is an ongoing struggle, a persistent desire for the romance of travel and a nostalgic emotional attachment to past worldly experiences. President’s SS17 collection draws on this concept with an evocative exploration of color and material inspired by adventure and pre-Jet Age travel.

The contemporary but ultimately timeless collection utilizes a refreshingly clean color palette. Military greens and tans are reminiscent of the great outdoors while blues and rich reds reflect the sumptuous interiors of classic hotels — it’s rather Wes Anderson-esque.

Quality materials are critical too, everything from Japanese chambray to Tuscan leather and premium Italian cotton give a high-end feel. The brand prides itself on making everything in Italy, in particular, Tuscany, a region famed for its leather and textiles manufactory. Everything down to the shoot location celebrates quality Italian materials, the Cave di marmo di Carrara (Carrara's marble caves) is one of the world's best marble sources.

President’s dates back to 1957 when it solely produced trousers under the fitting name, President’s Trousers. Guido Biondi, creative director, discovered the brand name in his grandfather's archive and revived it in 2010 with a new direction and updated name.
