After what seemed to be enough trailers and interviews to promote every single film ever made, Suicide Squad actually turned out to be a giant, stinking turd of a movie, according to the critics. Luckily, we’ve got two LEGO Suicide Squad remakes that are actually worth watching.
YouTube channel Glorious Eye Candy have produced an explosion heavy, two minute-long clip (which you can see above) which sees each character blown to smithereens in super slow motion. A nod to the terrible reviews, perhaps.
Meanwhile, YouTubers Forrest Whaley and Sean Willet have posted a perfect recreation of one of film’s TV spot trailers. Soundtracked by Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the 42-second video features all the explosions and wisecracks of the original, but rendered in LEGO blocks and mini figures.
Glorious Eye Candy gets top marks for the explosions, but Whaley and Willet’s version is much more creative and authentic, and therefore a whole better. Check out their version below.
For more Suicide Squad madness, here’s what a Quentin Tarantino version would look like.
