Netflix and Baz Luhrmann's new series The Get Down, which documents the early hip-hop scene in the Bronx in the 1970s, is coming out on Friday. The show stars none other that Jaden Smith, who also worked on a soundtrack executive produced by Nas.

Not only will Jaden star in the show, he's also revealed a contribution to the soundtrack with a new song in collaboration with fellow upcoming star Raury. The track premiered on Beats 1 radio with Ebro and reworks CAN's 1972 hit "Vitamin C." The young rappers drop in their tight and contemporary flow over the cool, vintage backdrop.

Giancarlo Esposito, Jimmy Smiths and Shameik Moore star alongside Jaden in the upcoming musical drama, as the birth of hip-hop is told through the lives, music, art and dance of the South Bronx kids who would go on to change the world forever. The Get Down is expected to be released tomorrow on August 12.
