Earning the term “Michelin Star” is a hallmark of fine dining quality and restaurants around the world that proudly promote their Michelin Star status, which is awarded by French tire company Michelin in a series of guide books for more than a century.
In a new documentary titled Michelin Stars – Tales From The Kitchen by Danish filmmaker Rasmus Dinesen, the film follows fifteen Michelin star-earning chefs over a period of two years, including Alain Ducasse, Daniel Humm, René Redzepi, Andoni Aduriz, Yoshihiro Narisawa, Victor Arquinzoniz, and Guy Savoy.
The film’s description says it hopes to expose the “greatness and flaws of Guide Michelin” and explore a “realistic understanding of life behind the often airbrushed scenes” of the restaurant industry.
Michelin Stars – Tales From The Kitchen will premiere at the San Sebastián International Film Festival in Spain on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
