Ayatollah “Drum Machine”

10 September 2008, 18.25 | Posted in Uncategorized | 1 comment »

highsnobiety - Ayatollah

Having built tracks for Rakim, Pharoe Monch and the Wu (and, obviously, Ms. Fat Booty for Mos), producer Ayatollah will let his instrumentals breath alone on Drum Machine. The album drops from Nature Sounds, and will be an online only release starting September 30. On the cover art tip, its form follows function. A schematic drum machine on simple blue background. Against the recent crop of truly horrendous hip-hop record covers, this really rings true.
