Bape has today officially launched a dedicated website for the US. At us.bape.com you find a news section, Spring/Summer 2009 Collection presentation and the online store will also be launching soon. This is just another step in the worldwide expansion of the brand.

It will be interesting to watch how the brand balances exclusivity and expansion. Its a difficult subject and there is no easy solution. So far, if you are a fan of the brand or not, they managed this balance pretty well, still selling out most of their stock. In the US people still had to make the trip to the stores in NYC and LA, that is over once the online store launches.

We present you the second part of The Hundreds Summer 2009 T-Shirts. Next to some classic designs, the LA brand worked with designer Steve Nazar, formerly of T&C Surf Designs. His graphics are colorful and full of characters, just right for summer season. The tees will be released in The Hundreds stores on May 14th.

We continue to present new parts of The Hundreds Summer 2009 Collection. Here we take a look at the upcoming New Era caps. The LA brand brings back previous designs, such as the Adam Bomb Outline cap, but also introduces new styles. Overall they keep it classic and do not go too wild on the hats, something we definitely appreciate. Colorways are well chosen, giving you some fresh looks during the hotter months of the year.

After earlier presenting you The Hundreds Summer 2009 shorts, denim, caps and footwear, we give you today a preview of their Summer 2009 T-Shirt Collection. The collection consists of a nice mix of logo based pieces and strong graphics. Also they made sure the line is well balanced in terms of color and type of graphic, making sure there is something for everybody.

The t-shirts will be available at The Hundreds LA and SF stores from this Thursday.

For Summer 2009 The Hundreds present once again a strong line-up of denim, which has become a staple in their collection. The line-up features different washes, cuts and customizations, making sure there is something for all tastes. The denim is now available at The Hundreds retailers and will be available in the SF and LA store from May 7th.

For Summer 2009 The Hundreds once again offer several snapback cap styles, ranging from more classic styles to more wildly colored options. The caps will be released on May 7th, along with the rest of the Summer 2009 Collection.

Today we give you a preview of The Hundreds Summer 2009 Short Program. They have expanded the offering a lot this season and will be offering several board shorts getting you ready for the beach, as well as lots of cotton and denim shorts for all other warm occasions.

The Hundreds Summer 2009 Collection will be released May 7th at their stores in LA and SF and is also coming to retailers next week.

We present you The Hundreds Summer 2009 Footware Collection. The LA brand has nicely developed the footwear side of their line over the past couple of seasons and presents for Summer 2009 three models in a multitude of colorways – the Johnson Low, Johnson Mid and the Valenzuela. All three models come in canvas this season, making it a great companion for the hotter days that lie ahead. The Johnson Low and Johnson Mid are our personal favorites, coming in some strong color combos, while keeping an overall simple and subtle look.

The collection will be available at both The Hundreds LA and SF stores from April 23rd.

We present you the lookbook of the Kiks TYO Spring/Summer 2009 Collection. Over the years we have hundreds of t-shirts featuring designs inspired by sneakers and to be honest it got very old after a while. When Kiks TYO first came up, with their entire collection being about sneakers, we were not sure how long they would be around. No matter what you think about the brand, they managed to stick around. The clean designs and high profile collaborations certainly helped as much as the good choice in models to be featured on their t-shirts.

By the way, they also announced an upcoming Rickey Powell collaboration project. No pictures of that yet, but soon more news on this topic.
