Today we get a first look at the collaboration between Pharrell Williams’ Billionaire Boys Club and Mark McNairy from New York. Of course McNairy was heavily inspired by vintage Americana and presents a nice capsule collection in collaboration with the streetwear brand with a few very strong signature pieces.

“The line of luxury gear was born out of a conversation Williams and McNairy had over a possible boot collaboration that turned into a full capsule collection. Even the collection’s name, Bee Line, has noble ties as Williams was inspired by Napoleon’s decision to replace fleur-de-lis with the insect as France’s royal symbol. Most categories of menswear are covered in the assortment, from outerwear to boots, and all of the gear is made in the USA save for the sweaters woven in Scottish mills.”

Coming out of Berlin, Germany, we present the new collection for Autumn/Winter 2012/2013 of STAHL Corporation. Previously known as Living Mutants, designer Raphael Weinberg has decided to change the name of the brand, and will be re-introducing the line for the coming season.

That said, the things that made the brand successful in the past have not changed – STAHL still trumps with razor sharp cuts and a close eye on the details. Rather than impressing with colors and patterns, STAHL presents a mostly muted color silhouette. But at closer inspection you notice rather quickly that a lot of thought and work has gone into each detail. Hidden pockets, snap button closures, interesting seam details and other accents decorate and enhance the clothing of the young Berlin brand. The new line consists of shirting, outerwear, pants, knitwear, sweat pieces and t-shirts.

The opening of the new Dover Street Market Ginza store will bring along a wealth of interesting collaborations and spaces. One of the most anticipated ones is the collaboration between New York’s Supreme and Comme des Garcons SHIRT. The store opens on March 16th, unfortunately we can only tell you then more about this interesting new team-up.

We already presented the new Levi’s jeans from the Junya Watanabe MAN Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Here is now a further look at the latest pieces of the collection.

Of course we are as usual excited about the line. Junya Watanabe continues to play with patchwork patterns, different fabrics and graphics and presents an interesting heritage inspired look. As much as we do like the shirting this season, we believe the outerwear, at least what releases until now, could have been a little more exciting and seems very similar to what we have seen in previous seasons. Let’s hope that will change though out the season.

After his big debut as Muscle Man Marc on a South Park episode in November, Marc Jacobs and the creators of South Park are working together again. The latest set of “Skin” T-shirts, an on-going MJ project aimed at benefiting The Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group at New York University, features South Park characters Cartman, Butters and Randy getting naked with the message “Protect Your Largest Organ” strategically printed on the front.

Unfortunately Kenny was a no-go. The t-shirts are now available through Marc by Marc Jacobs boutiques and online at Marc Jacobs.

It has been confirmed that Kanye West will bring his second women’s collection to Paris Fashion Week. The rapper-turned-designer will show his eponymous collection at 9:30 pm on March 6, 2012. Mr. West’s debut showing last season drew a star-studded crowd but gathered mixed reviews. Will all those famous designers and celebrities show up again this round?

An interplay of reality and virtual games: Prada presents ‘Folding in Love’, a brief and intense adventure of an object, in this case sunglasses, which is the flying lead character in a multi-level surreal journey. As befits the classic ‘arcade’ videogames, after travelling through multiple worlds in the Prada universe, the adventure ends in a romantic epilogue.

Selectism brings new of Edun’s first campaign. “Back in 2005, Bono and his wife, Ali Hewson, founded the Edun line to bring awareness to trade in Africa and beyond. While no major campaigns have occurred under the Edun name, both Bono and Mrs. Hewson have been featured in Louis Vuitton campaigns with the mention of Edun and the African connections.  It all changes for Edun with their debut campaign photographed by Ryan McGinley. The new Edun advertisement campaign features six photographs each featuring one of six species of butterflies – all indigenous to Africa.”

After announcing the collaborative range by Bape and Comme des Garcons PLAY last week, we can finally give you a look at some first pieces of the collection. As it turns out these were not real.

UPDATE: We just got word from the Bape Marketing department that the t-shirts shown here are actually fake. Sorry for the confusion guys and congrats to who ever did it, they came out pretty good. Hopefully we can soon show you the real collaboration between the two brands. The official collection by the two brands will be revealed on March 8th, 2012, and seems to be exclusive to the new Dover Street Market Ginza. For now only the above mashed logo design is official.

Band of Outsiders presents their new Spring 2012 Collection and as usual they tend to surprise. This season none other than artist Ed Ruscha is modeling the new collection, as seen in the Polaroid style lookbook, that we are used to see from the Los Angeles brand by now.

The new collection follows in the footsteps of the previous ones, offering a sophisticated, well cut, casual style. Nice new colors are being introduced and of course you can as usual count on the razor sharp cuts of the shirts and suits in the collection.

Reebok unveils their newest Jean-Michel Basquiat collection for this Spring/Summer 2012 season. The collection expands with the addition of graphic tee shirts, a knit sweater and jackets. Also present is the Reebok Pump Omni Lite in three colors, as well as the popular Reebok Freestyle for women. Look for this collection to be hitting retailers sometime this month.

Pharrell still surprises us and aside from producing music, continues to satisfy his creative inner beast with other interesting projects. The latest one you see here below – he produced the music to the new Lanvin Spring/Summer 2012 Ad Campaign. The imagery and video was produced by Steven Meisel. Lanvin once again surprises with an interesting and unexpected ad campaign this season.

Music: 18 year old Bronx, NY-born artist Maxine Ashley first caught the attention of super-producer Pharrell Williams on YouTube. Immediately impressed with her signature sound, soulful vocals with an edgy pop attitude, he signed her to his record label, i am OTHER entertainment. “Cookieman,” written and produced by Pharrell, is the first single off of Maxine’s upcoming debut album.”

The eccentric Karl Lagerfeld has again made news with the opening of a pop up shop called KARL dedicated to, who other than, himself. As you can see from the image, you can pick up a charm featuring a depiction of his face with dark shades and all. Also available is the new line bearing the same name as the store. CLOT continues to work with Japanese artist Madsaki on their Alienegra design pieces. For Spring 2012 they have also brought Brooklyn artist Kaws into the mix and he added his signature cross eye ‘X’ design to the existing design by Madsaki, resulting in a very vibrant overall look. The parka hoodie will be released on February 10th, 2012, at Juice stores.

Original Fake gets together with Atlanta retailer Wish. The t-shirt collaboration features the Companion character by artist Kaws on the front, holding the letters ‘WISH’, while the ‘ATL’ letters are floating around in the air. Look out for a release in the coming weeks.
