Pointer continues their successful collaboration with Comme Des Garcons for Spring/Summer 2012 with this clean and simple canvas and suede upper mixed with a classic tennis gum sole. As usual they keep things very suble as part of their collaboration. This season the sneaker will be available in white, navy and black from Comme des Garcons retailers around the globe.

We are always open for innovation, as such we are happy to see the new Asics Gel-Hyper 33 sneaker. The new running shoe from Asics features Propulsion-TRUSSTIC and a sandwich midsole for comfortable and direct ground control. Furthermore the brand has used a light weight web mesh upper, which by the way also looks really nice.

The sneaker is now available in two colorways from Solebox.

Maison Martin Margiela’s staple Replica sneaker receives another interesting makeover as seen here with this “Pixelated” version of the shoe. We’re enjoying what’s going on here with the combination of white canvas at from the heel on up to where the contrasting dark canvas begins to take over. These shoes definitely have it going on. Asics Gel Lyte III’s or Sagas, as of late, are something we see frequently, but here is a look at another nice style from the running shoe specialists with this Speed version of the Gel Lyte. These have earned a comical code name with their “Tomatoes” moniker, but for good reason. These shoes feature a tomato red speckled midsole and stripes. These are now available at Hanon.

Although a Jordan Spizike just dropped, you might remember the “Bordeaux” pair that dropped, which happened to go over well with President Obama, we see that another one is right on that one’s coattails. This University Blue/Vivid Orange color is set to be hitting retailers later this month, February 24, to be exact. The UK’s Size? will be hooked up by adidas Originals on this store exclusive color of the Marathon 88 sneaker. The shoe features a black base, grey 3 stripes and blue accents placed at the heel, toe, midsole and side. It’s a pretty safe and solid color, nothing too fancy, but very effective. Recently Vans OTW held a massive event in Berlin during Bread & Butter and invited not only their latest advocates, including Lupe Fiasco, to town, but also Mos Def. They performed on stage in Berlin for hundreds of fans that had to fight to get a ticket for the exciting evening.

This week visvim has released several new footwear styles from its Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. While most recent releases were boots, the ones coming out this week are part of the sneaker category.

The Logan Deck Lo is a simple Era-style low top sneaker. It will come in a beautiful dark indigo option with red outersole and alternative colorways. Furthermore visvim will drop the Jaipur Hi Denim, a Chuck Taylor style silhouette and the Flynt Hi Sashiko, which is an interesting mid top sneaker. Expect all of them to come in a series of colors later this week at visvim retailers.

Today Converse unveiled four distinct design concepts for the newest footwear collaboration with the world-famous virtual band, Gorillaz. Launching in February 2012, the styles from the Spring 2012 collection combine the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette with the band’s legendary graphic images. Award-winning designer and Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett has designed exclusive prints incorporating elements from their ground breaking artwork. Each design melds their diverse backgrounds and unique influences to create a revolutionary collection. The partnership with Gorillaz will also include a Converse “Three Artists. One Song” original track titled “DoYaThing” featuring Gorillaz, James Murphy and Andre 3000 of OutKast. The free track will be available for download at www.converse.com on February 23, 2011.

Today we can show you the collaboration between Reebok and Korean retailer Kasina for the 25th anniversary of the iconic Workout Plus sneaker. For the project, Kasina choose tweed mixed with leather and a vintage style outsole to keep Classics classic. As they say, tweed in an enduring classic that never goes out of style.

After having previewed already the Nike Basketball limited edition releases, and the Nike Foamposite One Galactic, we now take a closer look at the NBA All-Star 2012 Dunk High Galactic Pack.

With a motif inspired by astronaut space suits, the Nike Dunk features a waxed canvas upper emulating training suit material. Military stencil font is prominently featured on the upper and outsole, while the inner lining features the supernova graphic print. Available in three different colors including rogue green, flat gold and blue grey, the Nike Dunk also features a removable tongue top patch and Nike Swoosh.

The collection will be available at select retailers and NikeStore.com from February 23.

The Nike Foamposite One, showcasing an out-of-this-world galactic print upper, includes a Polyurethane midsole and a Nike Zoom unit in heel for low-profile, responsive cushioning. Taking inspiration from space exploration, the collection features a galactic theme on the LeBron 9, Nike Zoom KD IV and Nike Zoom Kobe VII System. Graphics pay homage to the supernova – arguably the most powerful force in the universe – while the outsoles glow in the dark and individual ‘mission patches’ adorn each shoe as a nod to the accolades astronauts receive.

This season, The Pier takes on a new outsole construction with a nod at the traditional espadrille and has a monochromatic light weight canvas upper. After the Duck sneaker, another highlight of the Vans California Fall 2012 collection is once again a model that tries something new (for Vans anyway) on the toe boe. This style remixes the Vans 106 or Chukka Low, splitting the seam right down the centre for something along the lines of a Clarks Desert Trek. Rough out suede makes way for a leather heel patch, done in a contrasting color. Hitting this fall.

Today, Jordan Brand, unveiled the Air Jordan 2012, the 27th shoe in the Air Jordan franchise. The all-new Air Jordan 2012 is designed to encourage today’s athletes to rethink performance. This year’s model builds upon the Air Jordan 2011’s two midsole modular system by featuring two interchangeable inner sleeves and three interchangeable midsoles for performance customization. The Air Jordan 2012 Deluxe will be available in two colorways nationwide on Wednesday, February 8 for a suggested retail price of $223, with the Air Jordan Flight System launching on Saturday, February 25 for a suggested retail price of $180.

The sneaker’s modular system gives athletes the ability to customize for their unique playing styles and for fit preference by offering 6 different configurations.

Reebok unveils their newest Jean-Michel Basquiat collection for this Spring/Summer 2012 season. The collection expands with the addition of graphic tee shirts, a knit sweater and jackets. Also present is the Reebok Pump Omni Lite in three colors, as well as the popular Reebok Freestyle for women. Look for this collection to be hitting retailers sometime this month.
