Just yesterday we presented the Asics Gel Lyte 3 Yin Yang Pack. Here is now a look at the in-line limited releases of the popular running shoe. Three strong colorways of the shoe have released for Spring 2012, including Red/Blue/White, Lime/Black/Infared and White/Royal/Purple, all available at KITH now and going for reasonable 80 USD.

The Asics Gel Lyte 3 remains to be the most popular style in the retro lifestyle collection of the brand. For Spring/Summer 2012, the Yin Yang concept out of the Asian philosophy was an inspiration to Asics and behind their upcoming pack of the Gel Lyte 3.

Keeping it simple in terms of design, the sneakers come with black and white leather and mesh uppers. A release is scheduled for February 2012 at better sneaker retailers, including Hanon.

Asics shared a few styles with us for Fall/Winter 2012 at the Agenda Trade Show. These are part of a more accessible line, meaning no Patta, or Ronnie Fieg-type hysteria when it comes to getting some of the brand’s special releases. We see here a couple of solid colors of the popular Gel Lyte III, as well as a slick looking Gel Saga in black, green and purple.

After the lookbook presentation with model Siri Blomquist yesterday, we can give you a more detailed look at the upcoming Asics GEL Saga ‘Mazarine Blue’ by Ronnie Fieg today. Coming in a very special blue tone, the sneaker will release on December 29th, 2012, at both Kith Manhattan and Kith Brooklyn, with each location getting 90 pairs out of the 300 pairs total. Also Kith will release a matching fleece letterman jacket, made of 26 oz. Canadian fleece. Only 60 of the jackets have been produced.

Once again Ronnie Fieg presents his upcoming collaboration with Asics, the GEL Saga ‘Mazarine Blue’, in a nice photo spread with a beautiful girl. This time he worked with Norwegian model Siri Blomquist in Los Angeles. The outcome is a fun shoot, highlighting the new sneaker collaboration. A release date and more details product shots should be following soon.

On December 22nd, the much anticipated new collaboration between Asics and Amsterdam boutique Patta on the GEL Saga will release.

Asics has been on a good run – no pun intended – in recent years with their collaborations, but their non-collab pieces are certainly no slouches. For Spring 2012, we see a great Gel Saga that is predominantly black and white, but with some nice flair via the lime and pink-ish colored accents. These are up for pre-order now on Hanon. And speaking of the Asics Gel Saga, be sure to check our feature on the upcoming Patta collaboration release with this particular style.

For Spring 2012 Asics presents a new black/red colorway of their popular Gel Lyte 3 runner. The sneaker features a mixed suede/nylon/leather upper with the light grey speckled outer sole being especially nice. Due to arrive January 2012, Hanon has them up for pre-order already.

As we get closer to the release of the next collaboration between Patta and Asics, we sat down with Gee from Patta to get a bit more background information on the project. It is not the first team-up of the two, and the Amsterdam store is known for very strong shoe collaborations, especially with Asics. As many of you might remember, their Asics Gel Lyte 3 was probably the shoe to put the Asics brand back on the map in the sneakerhead market.

Therefore, as usual, the Patta crew set the bar high and presents an extremely well executed Asics GEL Saga as part of this latest collaboration. Limited to 400 pairs, the shoe will go on sale on December 22nd, 2011, at Patta and select retailers.

After our initial teaser preview, we get a better look at the upcoming collaboration between Patta and Asics on the GEL Saga. The sneaker landed on the cover of the latest issue of Sneaker Freaker magazine and well deserved. Next to rubberized leather, perforated leather and suede and other great details, the cover also reveals the pony hair panels that the Amsterdam store placed on the sneaker. All in all a fantastic color combination and probably not for the first time, one of the strongest Asics to come out this year.
