We are always open for innovation, as such we are happy to see the new Asics Gel-Hyper 33 sneaker. The new running shoe from Asics features Propulsion-TRUSSTIC and a sandwich midsole for comfortable and direct ground control. Furthermore the brand has used a light weight web mesh upper, which by the way also looks really nice.

The sneaker is now available in two colorways from Solebox.

Asics Gel Lyte III’s or Sagas, as of late, are something we see frequently, but here is a look at another nice style from the running shoe specialists with this Speed version of the Gel Lyte. These have earned a comical code name with their “Tomatoes” moniker, but for good reason. These shoes feature a tomato red speckled midsole and stripes. These are now available at Hanon.

The Asics Gel Lyte 3 remains to be the most popular style in the retro lifestyle collection of the brand. For Spring/Summer 2012, the Yin Yang concept out of the Asian philosophy was an inspiration to Asics and behind their upcoming pack of the Gel Lyte 3.

Keeping it simple in terms of design, the sneakers come with black and white leather and mesh uppers. A release is scheduled for February 2012 at better sneaker retailers, including Hanon.

After the lookbook presentation with model Siri Blomquist yesterday, we can give you a more detailed look at the upcoming Asics GEL Saga ‘Mazarine Blue’ by Ronnie Fieg today. Coming in a very special blue tone, the sneaker will release on December 29th, 2012, at both Kith Manhattan and Kith Brooklyn, with each location getting 90 pairs out of the 300 pairs total. Also Kith will release a matching fleece letterman jacket, made of 26 oz. Canadian fleece. Only 60 of the jackets have been produced.

As we get closer to the release of the next collaboration between Patta and Asics, we sat down with Gee from Patta to get a bit more background information on the project. It is not the first team-up of the two, and the Amsterdam store is known for very strong shoe collaborations, especially with Asics. As many of you might remember, their Asics Gel Lyte 3 was probably the shoe to put the Asics brand back on the map in the sneakerhead market.

Therefore, as usual, the Patta crew set the bar high and presents an extremely well executed Asics GEL Saga as part of this latest collaboration. Limited to 400 pairs, the shoe will go on sale on December 22nd, 2011, at Patta and select retailers.

After our initial teaser preview, we get a better look at the upcoming collaboration between Patta and Asics on the GEL Saga. The sneaker landed on the cover of the latest issue of Sneaker Freaker magazine and well deserved. Next to rubberized leather, perforated leather and suede and other great details, the cover also reveals the pony hair panels that the Amsterdam store placed on the sneaker. All in all a fantastic color combination and probably not for the first time, one of the strongest Asics to come out this year. Patta has been a key partner in reintroducing the GEL-Lyte III and GEL Lyte Speed styles, and this forthcoming release sees the two parties reworking the GEL Saga. The preview images show applied materials such as rubberized leather, perforated nubuck and ponyhair. The ASICS x Patta GEL Saga is set to release next month. Inspired by a local running club, The Wildcats, Hanon presents their latest collaboration with Asics on the popular Gel Lyte 3. The running shoe comes with a lux punched suede upper in classic orange and red colors with the addition of tonal 3M tiger stripes and double woven labels on the tongue. The sneaker comes with three lace sets and a dust bag, featuring the ‘Keeps On Burning’ logo by Hanon.

The Hanon x Asics Gel Lyte 3 ‘Wildcats’ will drop on October 28th, 2011. The store will hold a preview event the Thursday evening before the launch, with only a very few sets going on sale that night.

Parisian brand and creative agency Surface To Air have opened a new retail space in New York City. Located at 27 Mercer Street, the shop opens today, showcasing the new Fall/Winter 2011 collection, including the Asics x Surface To Air sneakers and the Kid Cudi x Surface To Air leather jackets. Kid Cudi imagery is also displayed on the walls of the open concept retail space.

Tokyo retailer atmos has once again worked with Asics on a new version of the Gel Lyte 3. Coming with a tonal black upper, mixing leather and mesh, accents are set in metallic gold on the logo stripes. Furthermore they added a speckled mid sole to the sneaker. The overall result is certainly of the better collaborative efforts on the running shoe. The sneaker will release October 2011.
