On the runway this weekend, Thom Browne presented his new Moncler Gamme Bleu Fall/Winter 2012 Collection. This season the designer was inspired by the Formula 1, having models walk in racing suits down the runway. Strong red and yellow were his accent colors, aside from the usual heavy use of tricolor.

We especially like the check pattern fabrics and dark navy coats of the collection, which seem special enough, yet wearable at the same time. The collection turned out great once again, resulting in an elegant winter offering for next season.

Moncler seems to be working on several interesting new collaborations these days. First they teamed up with Berlin based Mykita on sunglasses and today we get a first look at their collaboration with luggage brand Rimowa on a suitcase.

While keeping the trademark aluminium case of the Rimowa suitcase, handles and the entire interior have been outfitted with the iconic Moncler nylon down fabric. Furthermore the brand’s logo has been placed on the upper of the suitcase. The suitcase is now available from the Moncler Aoyama flagship store.

Last week we announced the new parternship between Mykita and Moncler on sunglasses for Holiday 2011/2012. Now they have released a video, a homage to the mountains, for the release of the collection. Check it out.

Moncler has announced a partnership with Berlin based eyewear brand Mykita. Known for its highly technical and innovative approach. Mykita will only produced two models in collaboration with Moncler, each going on sale for only 6 months, priced at 730 USD.

“Dubbed Lino and Achille, the two models feature a swept-back frame edge. Achille, with its straight top line and broad frame is the more avant-garde model. Lino’s sweeping top line and slim frame is a modern version of glacier snow glasses.

The looks are available in black, red and blue — the latter two the colors of the first Moncler down coats in the early Sixties. The frames are fitted with mineral glass lenses from traditional Italian manufacturer Barberini.

All lenses reveal the Mykita & Moncler logo when breathed on, and feature an antifog finish on the inside of the lenses and an antiscratch outer coating. The glasses come with a padded sleeping bag style carry pouch in addition to a black case and box.” (Via WWD)

Beams has been very busy working on special collaborative product for their 35th anniversary. They have already worked with Puma, Incase, Clarks and others, next up is now their collaboration with outerwear brand Moncler. They present two jackets as part of the project, one coming with a classic grey flannel upper and the other one with a shiny bronze colored nylon upper. (Via honeyee)

A nice pair of Moncler Suede Hiking Boots has released for Fall/Winter 2011. Next to the Moncler V hiking boots, these certainly also look very nice, mainly due to the red wool plaid ankle detailing. The tricolor mid-sole, rubber heel and gunmetal eyelets are other nice details, making this a truly premium all weather boot for the season. Browns has them in stock now.

From the Moncler Fall/Winter 2011 Collection we can show you today a beautiful pair of washed suede boots. Nice details on the boots include the red laces, hiking boot eyelets, heel tab and of course the tricolor mid-sole. The boots are Made in Italy and now available from Browns.

Moncler continues to work with Hiroki Nakamura of visvim on the Moncler V Collection for Fall/Winter 2011. Today we can give you a look at the complete collection and it looks great once again.

Entitled ‘Himalaya 1977′, the collection sports wonderful wool patterns and showcases again the knowledge and expertise by Nakamura to tell a story with fabrics. Of course you will also find a good amount of outerwear, accessories, great boots and a premium luggage range as part of the collaboration for the coming season. Overall a lot of plaid is used in the collection, thick wool sweaters, patches and the collection has an overall nice vintage vibe.

We were actually not sure wether or not the collaboration between Moncler and visvim, Moncler V, was an on-going collection or just a one hit wonder. Well, today seems to bring the answer, as first pieces of the new Moncler Fall/Winter 2011 range have been released.

Next to two beanies, some knitted gloves and the Mountain Crewneck have released, all now available from End.
