This year, the FIFA World Cup will take place in winter for the first time. A tournament typically reserved for summer, many things will be different this time; evening games and the possibility of your home nation raising the trophy just before Christmas.

In the spirit of the holidays and the beautiful game, adidas' World Cup campaign centers itself on family, a family reunion that, for adidas, brings together Messi, Benzema, Stormzy, and more.

Sporting families are huge. Unless you make a habit of tracking their growing rosters, it's easy to let a name or two slip the mind. In football, there's fierce competition for securing sponsorship deals. With the huge amount of talent on the table, a reunion event could feel like a multiversal event. You know, like three generations of Spider-Man linking up in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Well, thanks to adidas' World Cup campaign, we can confirm; the event is nothing short of a spectacle.

So, who is the adidas footy fam? Jude Bellingham, Karim Benzema, Son Heung-min, Lionel Messi, Serge Gnabry, Achraf Hakimi, and Pedro ‘Pedri’ González López – a powerful force. Oh, and Stormzy's there too.

Representing for their home nations ahead of the tournament, which kicks off this week, the players featured in the campaign are seen wearing the kits they'll sport during their home games – for more on those, you can check out our favorite kits here.

There are a couple of exceptions in the form of Jude Bellingham and Son Heung-min, who sport pieces from collaboration with Wales Bonner and Pharrell's HUMANRACE, respectively.

England and South Korea undoubetly have the strongest style in the campaign (both in yellow, too, mind), perhaps an omen is at play, and we're due the most unexpected World Cup final of all time.
