Editor’s Notes: ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov are back at it again.

After issuing the UB3-S GEL-NIMBUS 9, ASICS and Kostadinov decide to whip up something for the city and nature boys.

Rooted in what the partnership calls "outdoor escapism," the ASICS HS4-S GEL-SONOMA 15-50 GTX is a rugged letter of appreciation to the great outdoors (kind of like HAL STUDIOS' Gel-1130 collab).

If the land versus sea lovers colorways of "Spring Bouquet" and "Green Sheen" didn't give away the naturalistic aesthetic, the shoe's functional construction definitely hits the mark.

ASICS looks back to its history of trail running shoes, harnessing the latest model with the upper of the brand's 2002 15-50™ cross-country spike and the sole of the GEL-SONOMA™.

The banger moment of the ASICS HS4-S GEL-SONOMA 15-50 GTX is undoubtedly its GORE-TEX upper and lining, which helps to preserve airflow but keep your feet dry during your concrete or muddy journey.

Meanwhile, the AHAR + rubber outsole and GEL midsole pack the shoe with superb grip and comfort. Then, I'm not too sure of the tongue's loop function, but it definitely feels outdoorsy (or is it just me?).

Basically, what we've got here is a cozy trail shoe that exhibits an outdoor-approved design matched with a lifestyle sensibility. There's no doubt the hiking bros are already all over the ASICS HS4-S GEL-SONOMA 15-50 GTX, but they may have to fight off metropolitan kings for this drop too.
