Confirmed over two years ago, the good folks over at Legendary Entertainment have finally released the debut trailer of Detective Pikachu.

The visual gives us the first stunning look at Ryme city and the gorgeous live-action Pokémon that fill the world. Ryan Reynolds stars as the iconic adorable yellow mouse Pikachu, bringing his witty wise-cracking Deadpool humor to a PG level.

The story begins as Detective Pikachu joins forces with a mourning 21-year-old Tim Goodman to help search for his mysteriously missing father. The two embark on a wild adventure through the neon-lit streets of Ryme City—a sprawling, modern metropolis where humans and Pokémon live side by side in a hyper-realistic live-action world.

Throughout the trailer you get glimpses of several famous Pokémon, including Jigglypuff, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Psyduck, and a fire-breathing Charizard.
