Donald Glover pulled up to the Brooklyn Nets and Orlando Magic game on April 7, outfitted in a t-shirt featuring a QR code print, a Hawaii cap, jeans, and...MSCHF's wild BWD shoes. And to be honest, that sounds about right.

It's a shoe that literally goes both ways on the feet of the man whose musical alter ago is Childish Gambino while his actor-director persona goes by Donald Glover. It's a match made in heaven in my eyes.

The MSCHF BWD shoes release on April 11 (which means Glover scooped up early pairs) as an insane sneaker-slash-sandal featuring two open ends so fans can wear it either way. Hence, the BWD (backward) in its name.

Gambino...wait, no, Glover opted for the shoe's sneaker side for his courtside appearance, and understandably so. I can definitely see the sandal way being more of Gambino's vibe anyways.

Glover appears to be the first celeb to step out and brave MSCHF's outlandish new creation, which follows the big red stompers that took over the internet. I wonder if Glover copped a pair of those — or any other MSCHF unique footwear.

We've seen Glover quite a lot as of late. Following a 2023 Grammys appearance, the Atlanta creator shined bright in a neon Valentino look at GQ's Creativity Awards as his feature with the magazine went live in the same breath.

There were a few headline-worthy takeaways from his interview, like "This Is America" was initially meant to be a diss towards Drake. He also revealed that Atlanta season three backlash upset him to tears and claimed Tina Fey referred to his 30 Rock hiring as a "diversity thing." Yikes.

Although it wasn't revealed during his spread, Glover is also helping further Malia Obama's film career. He plans to assist Obama in developing her first short film under his production company Gilga. The two recently worked together for the Amazon Prime series Swarm, co-created by Glover, with Obama as writer.

Speaking of Swarm, if you heard some familiar vocals by Childish Gambino, then you heard correctly. He and musician KIRBY supplied a six-track Swarm EP with original scores inspired by the psychological comedy-drama series.

Let's hope this is a sign that more Gambino will come this year. Us fans deserve!
