What We’re Saying: JJJJound and Vans are back together again, and this time they're spotlighting the California brand’s first high-top skate shoe, the Style 37. The collaboration, which begins rolling out on August 10, consists of three colorways of the silhouette, each of which is reworked through the Montreal-based studio's minimalistic lens.

After first teasing the collab back in May on Instagram, JJJJound now gives us a detailed look at its take on the Style 37. The silhouette arrives in black, brown, and green colorways that are meant to evoke the state of heavily used skate sneakers. The materials that dress the shoe have been chosen for their durability to deliver a product that will withstand the test of time.

The Style 37 burst onto the scene in the late '70s — again — as Vans' first high-top skate shoe. After being in production for just one year, the model evolved into the Sk8-Hi, which has gone on to become a staple in the brand's catalog. Vans brought the Style 37 back in the '90s, and since, it has been rediscovered as the Sk8-Mid VLT LX.

JJJJound is implementing a staggered release for the Style 37, with the black colorway launching on August 10, the brown on August 11, and green on August 12, each at 12 p.m. EST through jjjjound.com. Select Vault by Vans retail locations will then carry the collaboration beginning August 14.
