UK-based fast-fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing announced a new collaboration with...Naomi Campbell?

Supermodel Naomi Campbell? The Naomi Campbell? Yep, that Naomi Campbell.

PrettyLittleThing recently made the announcement on Instagram, posting a reel of a co-branded director's chair. From the looks, Campbell will design a collection for the retailer, set to arrive "soon."

Seeing PrettyLittleThing x Naomi Campbell together makes you blink twice and rub your eyes to ensure you're reading right.

Campbell is a legendary model known for her charitable efforts, like assisting with Copenhagen International Fashion Fair's Enlightenment project alongside Virgil Abloh. She also has her own Fashion for Relief foundation dedicated to raising funds for environmental and humanitarian efforts.

On the other hand, PrettyLittleThing has been largely accused of its unethical methods, including allegations of exploiting workers. Protesters even gathered at the brand's 2022 fashion show, claiming the brand practiced unsafe conditions and offered unfair wages.

Campbell is also a regular advocate for rising designers, especially Black creatives. Again, fast fashion retailers like PrettyLittleThing often make knock-offs of these designers' very creations.

With that in mind, the Naomi Campbell x PrettyLittleThing news received divisive reactions. PLT heads are overjoyed with the promise of a (potentially affordable) Naomi Campbell-designed collection.

Others? Not so much. One comment read, "One of the most respected supermodels collabing with an unethical brand that steals designs from small business. How embarrassing."
