While TUDOR launched its timepieces over six decades ago -- in 1946, to be exact -- they've never gone out of style. It seems with the Black Bay, it will stay en vogue 'til the end of wristwatch-wearing time, thanks to carefully thought out details from the experts at TUDOR.
Paying homage to TUDOR's original Submariner from 1954 and other important diving watches from the brand’s history, the Black Bay takes vintage design cues while going beyond being just a simple re-issue. The Black Bay, which was first showcased at Baselworld 2012, features interchangeable straps and bracelets and a colored anodized aluminum bezel and crown tube that comes in midnight blue or burgundy red or black. Standout vintage details are the "snowflake" hands, a design from TUDOR's 1960s archive. But combined with luminous dial displays, the Black Bay is altogether more than fitting for the urban landscape.
The above looks from Wooyoungmi, E.Tautz, Agi & Sam and John Smedley showcase the watch's fashion-forward possibilities -- its past, present and future, all in one.
