After premiering at this year's Sundance Film Festival, the trailer for Boots Riley's Sorry to Bother You has arrived, giving us a first look at the Oakland rapper, producer and film director's debut feature-length film.

In an alternate present-day version of Oakland, telemarketer Cassius Green, played by Lakeith Stanfield, discovers a magical key to professional success, propelling him into a macabre universe. As lead vocalist of The Coup and Street Sweeper Social Club, it looks like Boots Riley is taking a similar approach to his filmmaking, applying a radical class analysis of the current system to his origins as a telemarketer in Oakland, California.

Also starring in the film are Tessa Thompson, Armie Hammer, Terry Crews, Patton Oswald, and more. Boots Riley also wrote and soundtracked Sorry to Bother You. The film is set to hit theatres July 6.

In other movie happenings, here's why Kendrick Lamar should play a villain in the 'Black Panther' sequel.
