Issue 09 — Fall/Winter 2014
In electing the guiding motif for Highsnobiety’s forthcoming ninth issue, we look toward the impressions made by icons and iconography. Whether it be an individual, a style, a garment, or any impactful paradigm that we may consider iconic, there is certainly much to consider. Legendary Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto seemed a natural place to start, as he has maintained his status as a first-mover through changing trends with his eponymous line as well as Y-3. Yohji has been relevant for decades, and today he is arguably even more influential than ever more.
Our largest issue to date, clocking in at 260 pages, inside you will also find a detailed profile of American designer Rick Owens, a feature with famed tattoo artist Scott Campbell, as well as additional pieces providing overviews of graffiti artists ROID, Kidult and other interesting creators.
Readers should also expect to see photo editorials from Saint Laurent, Thom Browne and Burberry Prorsum. On the visual side, we included an illustrated look at some of our favorite style icons by Uli Knörzer, complimented by a strong portfolio of original photography and design.
