Bang & Olufsen

Bang & Olufsen announces its first-ever truly wireless charging earphones, the Beoplay E8 2.0, offering unmatched sound, an aesthetically-pleasing design in exclusive materials, and intuitive touch control.

Thanks to the premium leather wireless charging case, Beoplay E8 2.0 are totally wireless, allowing you to charge the earphones by simply placing the case on a wireless charging pad. The wireless charging case holds three full charges, giving up to 16 hours of playing time. An LED light is featured on the the front of the case to signify the state of charging, while three LED lights on the back detail the number of full charges remaining.

When placed inside the charging case, the earphones are surrounded by an inlay of brushed single or double anodized aluminum, depending on the color. Lastly, the case also comes with USB-C allowing you to charge Beoplay E8 2.0 with a cable.

Subsequently, Bang & Olufsen's original Beoplay E8 earphones are also compatible with the new wireless charing case, so existing owners can enjoy the benefits of wireless charing. This in turn means that the case will be sold separately as well.

Each earpiece of Beoplay E8 2.0 has a 5.7mm dynamic speaker, a small electromagnetic transducer, NFMI technology and a Bluetooth 4.2 chip with Digital Sound Processing. You can also tune the sound manually with the Bang & Olufsen app for Android and iPhone.

Beoplay E8 2.0 with a premium leather wireless charging case, five ear tips and UBS-C charging cable will retail for $350, launching February 14 at Bang & Olufsen, select retailers and online. The earphones come in Black, Indigo Blue, Natural and Limestone. The Wireless Charging Pad will be available in matching colors from April 2019. The retail price for the pad has yet to be revealed. The wireless charging case will be priced at $200, also available from April.
