ESSENTIALS / Erik Ian

ESSENTIALS Fear of God is only getting started with its Spring/Summer 2023 rollout. Last month, the brand returned with a fresh offering of polos, sweatpants, hoodies, and vests rendered in yellow and mint green. Now, ESSENTIALS is ready to bless fans with a second course to its SS23 collection.

For the ESSENTIALS' second drop, expect new textures like nylon and terry cloth to comprise staples like shorts, sweatshirts, and hoodies. On the subject of hoodies, the second release will present us with an insulated full-zip pullover.

Insulated hoodies for summer? Yep, that's ESSENTIALS for ya. But there's also no shame in planning for the next fall.

The latest also promises the return of the sub-label's denim coordinates (as seen in the FW22 drop), with the trucker jacket and jeans realized in a vintage wash for SS23.

For those who fell in love with the spring-worthy color palette like we did, expect the same hues — sycamore, seal, plum, sand, and light tuscan — to blanket ESSENTIALS' latest pieces.

Following in the footsteps of the March release, the latest again explores ballet and dance themes with a short film and campaign centered around American dancer Kylie Shea, whose naturally decked out in the label's cozy garments for the visuals. It just goes to show that ESSENTIALS passes the vibe check as more than just a subtle flex on the streets.

Offered again in full family sizing, ESSENTIALS's second SS23 delivery lands on April 5 exclusively on Fear of God's website. If you miss out, no worries as ESSENTIALS' drops usually land at select retailers days following its initial launch.
