Soulland / Adam Katz Sinding

Brand: Soulland x Li-Ning

Model: Shadow and Wind Ranger

Key Features: The Shadow is predominantly done up in white and grey, featuring a futuristic upper made from a serene, “cool shell,” high-tech fabric. Hits of orange, olive, and purple provide complement throughout, as the sneaker is then outfitted with metallic insets and semi-transparent panels. The name of the collaboration, “Pre-Inter-Post,” is applied to the outer quarter of the shoe, placed just above the stacked outsole. The Wind Ranger boasts a nearly transparent outer shell revealing the sneaker's contrasting colors and panel construction. Similar to the Shadow, touches of orange, olive, and purple can be seen throughout, including on the insoles and rubber tread along the bottom. The transparent Velcro-closing MONO “gauze” cover protects the lacing system, while the Li-Ning BOOM midsole offers unmatched energy return.

Editor’s Notes: After unveiling the collaboration as a part of Highsnobiety's Not in Paris exhibition, Soulland has given us a detailed look at its upcoming release alongside Li-Ning. Referred to as “Pre-Inter-Post” — Before-During-After in Latin — the collab consists of two sneaker styles in the Shadow and Wind Ranger.

“We’ve been wanting to do a project focused on running,” Soulland creative director Silas Adler previously told Highsnobiety. “I was very interested in Li-Ning’s different approach to the sneaker market, in their technical development, because it was so far from everything else.”

Soulland's first collaboration with Li-Ning explores the process of running and the various stages during a runner's experience. The Shadow, specifically, offers runners cushioned support, optimal stability and shock absorption, elevated propulsion and rebound, and increased energy return. The Wind Ranger is a more minimal design providing lightweight comfort, enhanced breathability, and superior energy return.

The Soulland x Li-Ning Shadow and Wind Ranger will be available in men's and women's sizing sometime this fall. Be sure to check back with us for more detailed release info.
