Work From Home is a new vertical dedicated to life and culture in the strange and unprecedented situation of self-quarantine that many of us are dealing with right now. From what to watch to how to get a fit off and how to not think about anything, this is our guide to the great indoors. For updates on the spread of Covid-19 and how to keep yourself safe and informed, consult WHO and the CDC.

Staying in hasn’t just affected our work lives, it’s affected every aspect of our lives. In the last month, whether we realize it or not, we’ve adapted to a new normal where most, if not all, activities are done inside our homes.

Exercise is no exception. People have been using their homes as makeshift gyms to stay in shape, experimenting with different workouts, and paying a bit more attention to their workout wear.

With the help of Walmart, we rounded up a few EFH (Exercise From Home) pieces that will go the distance whether you need to replace existing sportswear or you want to treat yourself. Best of all, these pieces are easy on the wallet and will serve you well when gyms do reopen.

Champion Men’s Closed Bottom Jersey Sweatpants

Over the years, sweatpants have been reimagined through the lens of fashion: skinny, drop waist, loud prints – they’ve really departed from the blueprint. Every wardrobe, however, needs a classic pair of sweats, and these ones by Champion are a great choice. The cotton-jersey blend is comfortable and breathes well when you’re working up a sweat. And the internal cord at the waistband means you can adjust for fit.

Champion Men's Classic Jersey Muscle Tee

Muscle tees aren’t just for bodybuilders; they’re actually pretty versatile. Layer one on under a zip-down hoodie while you’re warming up, and then remove the top layer as your workout picks up. We like this one by Champion because it has an athletic fit through the shoulders and body, then narrows toward the bottom, which is a more contemporary fit.

No Boundaries Men's Lounge Shorts

If you’re the type who thinks sportswear doesn’t need to look good (especially if you’re exercising from home), you’re wrong. Choosing pieces that flatter your body and make a bit of a style statement means you’ll stay winning. In this case, these camo-print shorts are not only workout-friendly, but will work equally well when paired with a vintage tee and leather low-tops for summer hangouts.

No Boundaries Men's Solid Short Sleeve Hoodie

We bet you have more full-sleeve hoodies in your closet than you need, but what you don’t have is a short-sleeve hoodie. This one by No Boundaries is high on comfort, and can be layered over a muscle tee for added warmth or worn solo. Pair with lounge shorts for a ’fit that’ll keep up with everything from yoga to YouTube cardio vids.

Hanes Men's Ecosmart Short Sleeve Tee

This environmentally-friendly tee is made of cotton and polyester, with recycled polyester fibers sourced from plastic bottles. The polyester actually helps this T-shirt dry faster than a 100% cotton version, which is great for when things get sweaty. Available in 39 colors (!), we’re eyeing this pale pink, a solid choice for spring.

George Men's Crew T-Shirts, 6-Pack

For the minimalists out there who live in white T-shirts, consider this six-pack by George your new go-to. For less than the cost of takeout, you’ll have a fresh white tee to wear almost every day of the week. These tees are especially suitable for exercising from home, because they’re both moisture wicking and antimicrobial.

These aren’t your average socks. Russell’s Performance low-cut socks feature built-in odor protection, which seems especially important when you’re staying home all day. The socks are constructed with mesh panels, which help with breathability so your feet stay dry even during the most intense workouts.

For those of you in areas where you can comfortably practice social distancing outdoors, say, a hiking path, a jacket is essential. This one by Champion is both water- and wind-resistant; it’s also packable, which means it’s lightweight and easy to throw on and off while you’re working out.
