  1. jannis:

and why the hell is london missing?

  2. Paris and London do not have actual Bape stores, but so called Busy Workshops, which is a different kind of Bape store, I guess the main difference is size. Therefore, I guess they did not get their own hoodie. But I heard that London will be getting a real Bape store very soon.

  3. whatever:

    all over print?

  4. Ricki:

Londons Busy Workshop is closing on Christmas Eve(I think?) for good, same as Hideout. If not Christmas Eve then it’s early Feb
Paris just has a small concession in Collette – the most overhyped store in the world!
There was talk of a BAPE store on Savile Row but the plans have fallen through…..

  5. so busy workshop is closing, no bape store is opening and hideout is closing too? damn. is gimme 5 opening any new stores or bringing hideout and bape under one roof or are they just closing stores? footpatrol is gone already, stussy london i heard this year also some rumors about closing. whats going on’

  6. Joe:

The bape store in london is only a busy workshop store rele?? Shit man i live in london and go there qquite a bit i always thought it was an actual store cause on the fronnt it has Bape storre. AND ITS CLOSIN R U KIDIN… AND HIDEOUT no way is this fefininate cause theres been nuthin on thehideout site and nuthin about it instore. Yh footpatrols gone now hideout and bape wtf am i gonna do

  7. Ricki:

Stussy, Hideout and Busy Workshop will all be dead by mid/end of Feb at latest, Hideout\’s last day is Christmas Eve(apparently). They were talking of opening a Gimme 5 store and/or a BAPE store on Savile Row in the Summer but Kopplemann fucked it all up!

  8. So are you saying that Gimme 5 goes from 4-5 stores to 0 in the next 2 months? This is crazy…. was not a single store of theirs making money?

  9. Ricki:

Yep! Think about it though, all of their stores are/were in prime areas in Central London owned by ruthless estates/landlords, I know how much rent is round there having worked around there for over 10yrs. You\’re talking atleast £125K upwards per just for rent, not including rates of around another £50/75K. You\’re not gonna make money selling hoodies and sneaks with costs like that. The landlords have doubled most the rents round there, hence them not renewing any of the leases and all the shitty worldwide commercial brands with money are opening up all over the Carnaby/Soho/Cov Garden areas. Independents are fucked cos of the greedy landlords, simple……..
