The adidas Samba was already a big deal, thanks to a successful comeback era over the last couple of years. Now, adidas is making the football sneaker even bigger. Literally.

The new adidas Samba sneaker comes with a chunky twist (or two). Specifically, certain features are tad thicker than usual, giving the trendy shoe a sort of skater vibe. In other words, goodbye, soccer boy, and hello, skater bro.

For starters, adidas' classic logo stands out in a big way on the new Samba shoe. The classic white leather Three-Stripes are now blown up, presenting a widened version of the adidas motif.

The chunky Three-Stripes — "Thick Stripes," as I call it — grabs attention already as is, but the detail stands even more against the shoe's navy-colored suede upper.

Looking closer at the sneaker, you'll notice that the adidas Samba boasts an overall thicker shape. With some collar padding and chunky laces to match, the newest Samba undoubtedly embraces some skate shoe influences in its design.

The new adidas shoe maintains the Samba spirit — long live the "T" toe box! – just on a large scale, following the footsteps of the platformed Sambae and Kith-y Samba XLG. But the latest is just more skate-y than its chunky counterparts.

The new adidas Samba sneaker is currently available in limited sizes at adidas. But don't worry, Samba lovers. The chunky shoe can also be found at exclusive retailers like END. and Offspring.

The adidas' Samba machine continues to spit out not only classic colorways but interesting new versions of the indoor soccer shoe. Speaking of, anyone in the mood for breathable Sambas?
