Highsnobiety

Calling all 550 fanatics, most specifically Aimé Leon Dore 550 lovers. The Queens-based label and New Balance are back with fresh but old-looking 550s.

Now, Aimé Leon Dore's previous takes has presented vintage-looking soles. But the latest delivery of Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 sneakers sees the popular shoe's leather uppers finished almost entirely with deliberate yellowing. Talk about something old but new.

The collaborative 550s come in two colorways, yellow/blue and yellow/green, with the latter colors making for lively hints beside the vintage-like shading.

Folks love the 550s, but adding the Aimé Leon Dore name always seems to up the demand. It's not like the brand introduces these super wild or unique spins. Aimé Leon Dore keeps things pretty plain and simple with general release-level colorways and premium materials.

Aimé Leon Dore has dished out 550s with smooth leather and suede textures. For the latest, the brand switches things up with moments of mesh, as seen on the shoe's heels and traditional "N" on the upper.

While classic dual branding hits on the tongue, Aimé Leon Dore's newest 550s preserve most of the model's original design, like the perforated panels, New Balance logos, and rubber sole.

If you're in the market for new (but aged) 550s, Aimé Leon Dore's New Balance 550s are currently up for grabs on the brand's website through a draw. The raffle closes on October 25 at 11:59, so you have two more days to enter.

In addition to the 550s, Aimé Leon Dore is also offering up some New Balance 650s in two colorways, which kind of look like the 550 schemes but younger.

The 650s may be a bit taller, but they're definitely living up to the little sibling status here.
