Haglöfs

If you can count on anyone to make great-looking trail gear, it’s the Swedes. So that Haglöfs, the 110-year-old Swedish outerwear brand, has dropped an awesome debut trail collection shouldn’t come as a surprise.

In fact, the only baffling thing about this whole release is that it’s taken Haglöfs over a century to actually create a trail collection.

Nevertheless, here we are. And, as usual, Haglöfs doesn’t disappoint.

Expanding on its L.I.M Series, a type of outerwear central to the brand’s seasonal collections since its debut in 2022, Haglöfs has geared the formula towards mountain trail running for the very first time.

That means trail jackets, shorts, and tights designed from the perspective of a bonafide outerwear brand (so, well-made and great-looking), with the functionality of classic running apparel.

“Designing the new trail running capsule gave us a lot of inspiration for how we can push L.I.M even further,” says Caroline Auclair, Designer and Head of Product Management at Haglöfs.

“With trail running, it’s all about removing as much bulk as possible and maximizing breathability while keeping it durable. Tackling this challenge moved us to seek out new, lighter, and more minimalistic and breathable trims and fabrics.”

Haglöfs’ debut off-road collection also includes the L.I.M Intense Trail Low, a trail-ready sneaker weighing in at just 230 grams.

The Intense Trail Low, which is available online now, isn’t Haglöfs’ first sneaker, although it is its finest thus far and, for me, the perfect cherry on top of the brand’s debut trail running cake.
