Recognizing the need for durability and comfort, M.Nii began crafting simple twill trunks made specifically for surfing back in the ’50s. With feedback from some of the best surfers of that era, M.Nii added stripes, wax pockets and patches, and before they knew it they found themselves at the heart of a culture. Ever since overseas wave riders visited Hawaii for the inaugural Makaha International Surfing Championships in 1954, M.Nii’s surf trunks have been highly sought-after. In order to showcase their latest and greatest product, the brand sent Chris Mosier on a mission to shoot this Spring/Summer 2014 “Shared Stories” lookbook. He brought along French tattoo artist SupaKitch and spent a few days hanging out in his favorite spots near his home in Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula and documenting the entire journey.
