OFF-WHITE c/o Virgil Abloh “Industrial by Nature” Exhibition

During Copenhagen Fashion Week, multifaceted creative Virgil Abloh presented his OFF-WHITE c/o Virgil Abloh exhibition entitled “Industrial by Nature” in conjunction with Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) at the esteemed Crystal Hall. As part of an ongoing series of installation art pieces, the latest installment further explored one of the brand’s principles of crashing natural textures with a man-made industrial process. An extension of the Spring/Summer 2015 “Moving Still” collection, the exhibit was an immersive sensory instillation that gave the notion of being on a beach using man-made triggers. Misting fans, layered with sounds of the seaside, visual projections of the ocean, and a mound of sand all together created a curated atmosphere that is an impression of the brand.

The individual pieces of art seen throughout the exhibit were created in collaboration with Cali Thornhill Dewitt, a Los Angeles-based visual artist who specializes in juxtaposition of type and image based around shark and surf imagery.
