Where the runway meets the street

Brand: Unis

Season: Spring/Summer 2017

Key Pieces: Davis single-pleated trousers, Alpha indigo ripstop field jacket, Breuer leaf camo work jacket, Tony brown paisley short-sleeve shirt

Editor’s Notes: Unis is a New York-based label that became a favorite of the early 2000s #menswear blogs because of their immaculate trousers. Cut to suit a variety of bodies and made of a hardy cotton, designer Eunice Lee created what many dudes still consider to be the perfect pant—the ideal balance of casual wearability and minimal fuss. They look especially great with a pair of no-nonsense kicks from Common Projects.

Lee’s Spring/Summer 2017 offering continues to put out some of the best-looking trousers in the market, but also includes other great seasonal staples. Short-sleeve shirts are available in in fifteen different fabrics, from accessible solids to more bold prints. Outerwear pieces draw on military inspiration combined with touches of workwear, like the Alpha field jacket made from indigo ripstop.

And of course, no summer collection is complete without at least one pair of shorts to knock around in, and Unis offers the Harry, mixing utility with a certain street appeal, courtesy of camouflage. The lookbook was shot by photographer Andrew Jacobs and styled by Michael Baquerizo, and features models Jaleen Oliver and Jonas Kloch.

The Unis Spring/Summer 2017 collection is currently available at Unis’ webshop.
